San Diego Civil Courthouse Wedding Photos | A + T

As a San Diego civil wedding photographer, I love when couples want to add some adventure to their day! That doesn’t mean you have to hike the mountains or fly a helicopter, but you can certainly add another location to add diversity to your backdrops. This is the beauty of a San Diego courthouse wedding. If you want your San Diego elopement to be just you and your partner and visit different locations for photos, you most certainly can! The only timeline you need to follow is the one you created. No running around waiting on others, it’s just about you and your partner. In these San Diego Civil Courthouse Wedding Photos | A + T did exactly that! The afternoon was spent taking gorgeous photos at the San Diego County Administrator office, where they got their San Diego marriage license. Then we headed to La Jolla Cove for some epic coastal beauty!

As we approach fall, and you are scheduling your San Diego marriage license appointment, make sure to check what time sunset is. Daylight savings is a couple months away, and this can affect lighting. Your goal should be to book your ceremony appointment time for two hours before sunset time. You can always check on GOOGLE for sunset time. If you are wanting a morning time slot, then any of the first 3 appointments are fine. 8-9am. If you are adding a second location then make sure you account for that as well.

Another thing to consider is opting for an indoor ceremony once we get to the rainier months like December. The west side outdoor ceremony arbor is always there, unless there is an event going on. If there is an event, then that whole area is fenced off and inaccessible. For the most part, it is always there and available. So if you opt for indoor to be safe, know you can always do a mock ceremony outside for photos.
