Rancho Santa Fe Landscape Photos | Las Planideras

As a San Diego lifestyle photographer, I get to work with all kinds of brands! They range from fashion, to personal branding to landscaping! It makes my work so fun! I get to learn about so many different industries and how to showcase them in helping them attract more and new clients! One Encinitas landscape design company I work with is Soil + Sea Landscape. They do incredible work! I get so excited every time I go shoot one of their projects! It’s such an art form! For San Diego landscape design companies, it’s so important to show your clients, visually, the work you can do. People need to see it! Much easier than them trying to imagine all the different layouts, plants, trees, etc. that you can do for them. In these Rancho Santa Fe Landscape Photos | Las Planideras, we made sure to showcase the evening transition of landscape. Seeing how everything get lit up!

Photographing landscapes can be very calming and creative. There are so many different angles and heights that you can utilize when capturing the feel of the scene. Try to imagine how you want the person to feel when they look at your photo. What you want them to feel from this layout. With so many things surrounding you, it’s important to pick one focal point. Let their eye go straight to the goal. You don’t want to clutter the photo, you want to highlight one specific thing in the photo. So that may mean you need to get low and shoot up, or use a wider lens to let more of the scene in. It’s whatever you feel should he showcased.

When wanting to capture the transition from day to night, I would suggest shooting 45 min before sunset and then 15 min after sunset. Allow yourself the time at the beginning to get to know the areas you will be photographing. That transitional, blue hour light doesn’t last long. So you want to make sure you know the must haves to photograph afterwards. I particularly don’t use flash when I photograph these sessions. I want the photos to feel more natural and real. Of course if want that flash look, you can use it and then you can shoot longer into the night.
