La Jolla High School Senior Portraits | P + M

As a San Diego high school senior portrait photographer, I find myself having a lot of out of town seniors booking sessions with me. Many are fortunate enough to go on a San Diego college tour trip with their parents and decide to take advantage of the beautiful scenery! Its even more special when they let you bring your boyfriend or girlfriend on the trip and you get to do a senior portrait and couples photo session! So definitely encourage your child to bring some of their cutest outfits! In these La Jolla High School Senior Portraits | P + M, you will see that P brought 3 casual outfits plus a cheerleader outfit. Her boyfriend brought two outfits. With all the different outfits, they of course went with the two hour session.

Unfortunately, the June gloom lasted into July so there was still overcast weather. The clouds had been coming in every evening, so I had mentioned to the parents that it would be best to start earlier to have better lighting. Especially with these many outfits, I wanted to make sure we had the time and light to get them all in the two hours. While P was changing, I would photograph M. This way making sure we were efficient with their session time. If the weather seems like it will get cloudy, always see if you can start earlier.

Most places on the beach will NOT have a bathroom nearby to change in. So if you are planning on changing into multiple outfits, be prepared with a blanket to cover for changing. You can also head back to the car, but more than likely you will be walking along the beach and be far from your car. So be prepared to change on the spot, but you can use a blanket. Try not to choose outfits that require multiple people to help put it on. If you do, have both parents come or a sibling.
