La Jolla Cove Engagement Photos | J + C
As a San Diego engagement photographer, there is nothing more satisfying than having that magic hour light on the beach! For the most part it’s not an issue in San Diego, but when it comes to late spring, early summer, it can be problematic. It’s called May Gray and June Gloom! Days are covered with clouds. This year it dragged on longer than normal. Sometimes you can get a lucky break in the clouds and have a taste of it! That is exactly what happened in these La Jolla Cove Engagement Photos | J + C. The sun came out for a few minutes a couple times and I jumped for joy at a chance to capture those sun flares! I think it had been a month since the last time I had that opportunity this season! Glad that’s over now!
This was a destination engagement session as they were visiting La Jolla from Florida. Summertime is filled with out of towners. It’s a great way to remember your trip with some professional photos. It definitely is better than taking a bunch of selfies. It’s a fun way to dress in your cutest outfits and have some fun with your loved one! Engagement photos or couple photos is not just about getting photos but also about having a fun experience with your partner!
La Jolla Cove is a beautiful area for taking photos! There are so many diverse backdrops, it has really been one of my favorites lately. What I love the most about it is that it’s approachable when the tide is high. Many beaches along the La Jolla coastline doesn’t have any sand when the tide is high. You can still find a slither of sand when the tide is high. You also have a lot of rock and cliff area to cover though. And it’s like you are walking on sand, as you have the water right beneath you.
