San Diego Courthouse Wedding Photos | M + R

As a San Diego courthouse wedding photographer, I am seeing more and more of my clients opting for a second location. With Balboa Park being so close to the San Diego County Administrator building, it’s a no brainer! Some like to have their couple portraits taken at both locations, waterfront park and then Balboa Park. Some like to head over there right after family portraits. In these San Diego Courthouse Wedding Photos | M + R, did the latter. They wanted more time spent at Balboa Park. The park is gigantic, there are so many areas to cover. You can either let your photographer take lead on the photo spots or, feel free to let your photographer know if there are some in particular that have meaning to you as a couple.

Sometimes your courthouse wedding couple portrait photos are limited at Waterfront Park due to an event being set up. Fortunately, the San Diego Marriage license website has a list of dates affecting the west side arbor. This is where the outdoor ceremonies normally take place. If your wedding date happens to fall on one of those dates, rest assured that you have solutions. Either a limited space at waterfront park or just head over to Balboa Park or the beach. The choice is yours!

When this happens and you have an outdoor ceremony scheduled, you can choose another spot around the county office to have your ceremony at. The officiants are pretty flexible and open to suggestions. My favorite spot is on the grassy mound by the swings to get the cityscape view of the buildings. Can’t get more San Digo city hall fee than that! Your guests will most likely watch from below as it’s on a small hill. It is grassy, so wear the appropriate shoes 😉
