Felicita Park Family Photos | M + S

As a San Diego family photographer, I love getting to photograph at all different types of locations. In San Diego you can find beach photo locations, park, city, etc. It all depends on what you are looking for. Felicita Park is a place that makes you feel like you are in the Rockies, somewhat. Depending on the weather, you can get a bit of fall foliage, same with Old Poway Park. So definitely let your photographer know what you are interested in, even if it’s the desert! You would be surprised on what locations photographers have up their sleeve! In these Felicita Park Family Photos | M + S, enjoyed their first visit here. There were lots of places for the kids to explore and climb on. We definitely got some fall holiday feels!

It may seem daunting, but I would start planning your family portrait outfits as soon as you book. The sooner you get them squared away the sooner you can relax. Rushing last minute to pick outfits can be stressful and you want your photo experience to be fun! Some families start with one person’s outfit and work around that. Other families choose by color. When choosing by color, I always suggest picking three colors, at most, and then working within different shades of that. Regarding prints, one person for every 4 or 5 people can have a print. If too many people have prints then it can get busy looking.

Most of the time, families with young children book morning sessions. If you can though, if your kids can handle it, I would push for sunset sessions. Unless you can wake up super early in the morning. Some families find that challenging to get kids ready so early in the morning. So get those treats and promises open and try for a sunset session!
