Cardiff Landscape Photos | Soil + Sea
As an Encinitas landscape photographer, I love working with such creative clients such as Soil + Sea! Every new project I work on with them still amazes me! The way they are able to view a space and completely revamp it where it’s unrecognizable is a gift! I get so excited every time to photograph and highlight all the attention to detail that they have put in. Homes have really invested in landscape revival. So it is important that I capture their work to showcase to their clients all the design talents they have! In these Cardiff Landscape Photos | Soil + Sea, they turned a modest size front yard into a huge entertaining area!

When photographing landscape, you have to think about the wide shot, to set the scene. The macro shots, meaning the tighter shots, I obsess over, because it makes you feel like you are there. I love getting up close and personal with all the different plants and flowers. Some I’ve never even seen before! The colors are amazing, the look and feel. Each plant and flower has its own personality. They do a great job assessing the home and style to let you choose the best ones for your property. Patience may be needed when they plant some things like trees, as you have to let time pass by for them to grow. I’m sure the season matters too!

When is a good time to photograph landscape? The beauty of landscape is that pretty much anytime works! The important thing to consider is what are you trying to highlight? Soil and sea also do landscape lighting. So we always shoot at sunset and into blue hour to highlight the light fixtures that they use throughout your landscape project. Another important factor to take notice is to clean up the area you want to photograph. Nature can interfere with your landscape subject, so make sure any dirt or dust is cleared out of the way so everything looks pristine!
