Seaport Village Wedding Photos | Alexia + Edgar
As a San Diego wedding photographer, we are starting to see a lot of micro weddings or elopements happen. It definitely adds a very intimate feel. It makes you take a step back and really decide on who you want to share this moment with you and your partner. In these Seaport Village wedding photos | Alexia + Edgar, we had multiple locations. The wedding ceremony was at the Calvary Imperial Beach church, then for the formal portraits we went to Seaport Village and the reception was at a family home. It was definitely non stop that day, but we made it all work!
I love when ceremonies or any part of the wedding has indoor lighting! It makes the photos so moody and romantic! FYI, I was a little worried about needing to use my flash during the ceremony when I came to scout the location, but the day of the wedding there was a ton of light that came through the doors. Trusting my lens and know how much they can handle. I couldn’t have been happier with the results! When shooting wedding ceremonies, I use my Canon 35mm lens, f/1.4 and 70-200mm f/2.8. This way you can get close up shots without feeling like you are interfering. Having these lenses get me through every time!
We did a few couple portraits around the church because these two lovebirds have been together since high school. Their high school was located across the street! We took a few photos with the school in the backdrop for their memory bank! How sweet is that! I love these kind of romantic stories! Then it was off to Seaport Village. When changing locations always take into account for your timeline the driving time plus parking time as well. Always better to buffer for time than to need it.
